Have you ever heard of "Hot Cross Buns"??

These are an English/Australian Easter tradition...Hot Cross Buns. I remember hearing the nursery rhyme about these buns...but I have never seen them. The "bun" is a type of yeast bread, with dried dates mixed into the dough. The "Cross" is a flour and water mixture placed on the top just prior to baking. The cross is for the Cross of Crucifixion and these are only made just prior to Easter every year. Happy Easter, I love and miss you all!
