Our First Easter in the Autumn

This is the story of the Bilby. It is an endangered marcupial here in Australia. It looks like a cross between a bunny and a kangaroo. I bought three of these and the money goes to a foundation to help them. Australians have a bad history with rabbits....they were brought he for sport (Gave the Brits something to shoot) and instead they bred...like Rabbits....and ate all the pasture land and nearly destroyed the terrain for all other animals. The Australians introduced a virus designed to kill them because they were overpopulated and nothing knew they could be food. They had no predators. It killed all the bunnies except the ones that developed immunity! Now, we have super immune bunnies running amuck! There are ads on TV telling everyone to "sterilize your pet bunnies". Long story short......this is why i had to leave my beloved dog behind. Apparently, Aussies do not trust any animal imports now.
